Split to Kornati Gulet Cruise

Split to Rogoznica Check-in is at 16:30 at Kaštela Marina. After embarkation you have time to make yourself at home and meet the crew, and before departure you are served a traditional welcome drink. After a short sail we reach Rogoznica, where the chef prepares a fine Croatian dinner and you spend your first night in a good bay or by an island.

Rogoznica to Skradin and Krka After breakfast on board we continue towards Skradin, a small town at the mouth of the Krka estuary, with ancient narrow paved streets, arches and stairs and many Venetian-style houses. Skradin is the gateway to Krka National Park, a series of spectacular cascading waterfalls that you can visit. Depending on the weather, it may also be possible to visit Šibenik.

Krka to Kornati National Park After breakfast we set sail for the Kornati islands, another Croatian national park. The 220 km2 area between Šibenik and Zadar includes 89 islands, islets and rocks with about 238 km of coastline. Most of the Kornati marine zone was declared a national park in 1980 for its natural beauty and rich marine ecosystem. We spend the next two days here, visiting the many isolated coves.

Kornati to Žirje After two relaxing days we take you to Žirje, the only permanently inhabited island in the Šibenik archipelago. On its small area of about 15 km2 there are eight natural caves and pits. On its highest hill, Kapić (131 m), stands a preserved circular wall from prehistoric times, and the top of Vela Glava, overlooking Samogradska Vrata, the southern entrance to the Kornati islands, offers an incredible view.

Žirje to Primošten After a couple of days of Robinson Crusoe life we return to civilisation in grand style at Primošten. According to a folk tale it was created by God to rest after creating the world, while archaeologists say life here began in the 7th century BC. Its inhabitants fled to an island to escape the Turks and over time built a wall and a wooden bridge, later a causeway, so Primošten is now a peninsula. Tourism began in the early 20th century, and today it is popular for its beaches and clear sea.

Primošten to Trogir After breakfast we continue to Trogir, another pearl of the Croatian coast and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Founded in the 2nd century BC and only 25 km from Split, it is one of the best-preserved medieval towns, surrounded by city walls. Its most important monument is the cathedral, whose western portal was made by Master Radovan. Trogir lies on a small island between Čiovo and the mainland, connected to both sides by bridges. On your last night you can dine in one of the many fine restaurants in the old town.

Kaštela Marina, Split Our last breakfast together is served on board, after which we say goodbye to the gulet, the crew and, hopefully, new friends. Check-out is by 09:30.
