Turkey: Where the Blue Voyage Began

Turkey is the home of the traditional gulet and the Blue Voyage, and it has the largest fleet on our site. Charters board in Bodrum, Marmaris, Bozburun, Göcek and Fethiye, and routes combine pine-fringed coves, Lycian ruins, fishing villages and some of the clearest water in the Mediterranean. Food is usually a per-person full-board package, which keeps the cost of the week predictable. Read our Turkey gulet charter guide.

Greece: Island Hopping in the Aegean and Ionian

Greek charters start from Athens for the sheltered Saronic Gulf, or from Kos and Rhodes for island hopping in the Dodecanese. The Ionian Sea around Corfu offers greener scenery and gentler winds. Kos and Rhodes lie close to Bodrum and Marmaris, so some routes combine Greek islands with the Turkish coast. Most Greek gulets work on an APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance), and VAT is added to the charter fee. Read our Greece gulet charter guide.

Croatia: The Dalmatian Coast

Croatia's Dalmatian coast has more than a thousand islands and islets, and most charters run inside protected channels between them. Split is the main hub, with Dubrovnik in the south and Šibenik and Trogir as quieter alternatives. Highlights include Hvar, Korčula, Mljet and the Krka and Kornati national parks, and our head office is in Šibenik. Read our Croatia gulet charter guide.

Montenegro: The Bay of Kotor

Montenegro is compact but dramatic, centred on the fjord-like Bay of Kotor with Perast, the island church of Our Lady of the Rocks and Kotor's UNESCO-listed old town. Charters start at Porto Montenegro in Tivat, and some Dubrovnik-based gulets cross the border to include the bay in a Croatian week. Read our Montenegro gulet charter guide.

Italy: Sicily, Sardinia and the Amalfi Coast

Italy offers three very different weeks: the volcanic coast of Sicily and the Aeolian Islands, the Costa Smeralda and La Maddalena islands in Sardinia, and Capri and the Amalfi Coast from Naples. Read our Italy gulet charter guide.

Spain: The Balearics and the Costa Brava

Spain's Balearic Islands and the Costa Brava around Barcelona suit groups who are comfortable with longer open-sea crossings, such as the passage between Mallorca and Ibiza. Gulet availability here is limited, so ask our charter team about your dates, or read our Spain gulet charter guide.

How to Choose the Right Destination

Start with your flights and the way you like to sail. Sheltered waters such as the Göcek Gulf, Croatia's channels, the Bay of Kotor and the Bay of Naples suit families and first-time guests, while open-water routes in the Cyclades, the Aeolian Islands or the Balearics suit experienced groups. Pricing also differs: in Turkey, Croatia and Italy food is usually sold as a package, while Greek charters normally run on an APA.

Before you decide, read our guides to the best time to charter a gulet and gulet charter prices. New to gulets? Start with what a gulet is, then browse all yachts for charter and our sample itineraries.

Not sure which coast suits your group? Contact our charter team and we will match the destination, route and gulet to your dates.
