This 8-day, 7-night one-way gulet cruise runs from Bodrum to Marmaris along the Datça peninsula and the Hisarönü Gulf. You will visit Knidos, Datça, Selimiye, Bozburun, Sarsala-style coves, Serçe Bay and Bozukkale (ancient Loryma), then finish in Marmaris, so you do not have to sail back to your starting point.

Highlights include the ancient city of Knidos, the almond and olive country around Datça, the boatbuilding town of Bozburun and the sheltered bays of Serçe and Bozukkale, with long swim stops and quiet nights at anchor.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1

Bodrum For this one-way cruise from Bodrum to Marmaris we recommend flying into Bodrum Airport, and we can arrange an airport transfer on request. When you arrive at Bodrum port, our staff welcome you with a cocktail, and after the captain briefs you on the trip you can set sail. If you wish, you can also stay in the port for the first night.

Day 2

Bodrum to Knidos and Aquarium Bay At the far southwestern tip of the Datça peninsula lies Knidos, a small archaeological town and one of Turkey's best-preserved ancient sites. Explore the ancient harbour and the remains of the city, including the place where the Statue of Demeter was found. We then continue to Aquarium Bay (Adabükü).

Day 3

Datça and Palamutbükü Datça is a popular yachting stop on the southern shore of the peninsula, more than 75 km west of Marmaris. Many small coves along the peninsula let us anchor and swim in the privacy of our own bay. The coast is dotted with small fishing villages and farming towns, and local almonds, olives and tomatoes are famous for their taste. Try some local produce, or ask the chef to use it in your meals.

Day 4

Selimiye, Orhaniye and Emel Sayın Bay In the Gulf of Hisarönü lies the village of Selimiye, with its waterfront restaurants, old stone houses and ruined windmills above the harbour. Swim in the neighbouring bays of Orhaniye and Emel Sayın before dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5

Bozburun and Dirsekbükü Bozburun is a lovely small town about 45 km west of Marmaris, with a small modern marina. It is famous for its shipbuilding industry, and some of the world's finest wooden boats and gulets are built here. It is a quiet port town, and the way to reach it is as picturesque as the town itself. We spend the night in Dirsekbükü.

Day 6

Serçe Bay and Bozukkale (Loryma) Serçe Bay is one of the most popular and frequently used Blue Voyage anchorages. Its sheltered harbour keeps the water calm and crystal clear. We continue to Bozukkale, the ancient Loryma, where you can see the remains of a Hellenistic fortress above the bay.

Day 7

Kumlubükü and Kadırga Harbour Kumlubükü is one of those places on the Turkish coast where you can simply lie back and relax. With sandy beaches and cool, clear water, you can enjoy the sea and the sand, or sit in the shade of a local taverna and enjoy a local meal with a glass of local wine.

Day 8

Marmaris and Aquarium Bay Guests who do not wish to spend the last night in Marmaris port can stay in Aquarium Bay and come to the port after breakfast. The captain will arrange this according to your wishes. Disembark in Marmaris.
