Luxury Gulet Yacht Charters in Bodrum, Turkey

Bodrum is one of the most popular departure points for a gulet charter on Turkey's Aegean coast, and the classic starting point for a Blue Voyage. Milas-Bodrum Airport is a short transfer from the marina, and the lively town centre offers restaurants, shopping and nightlife before or after your cruise. Bodrum also has a long shipbuilding heritage, and gulets built in this region are known for their quality. Each autumn, the Bodrum Cup regatta fills the bay with traditional gulets under full sail.

From Bodrum you can choose between several routes, depending on how many days you have and the pace you prefer. The Gokova Gulf is the calm option, with pine-covered shores, sheltered coves and stops such as Cleopatra Island, Oren and Cokertme, where you can swim, kayak or go ashore for dinner. To the south, the Hisaronu Gulf offers quiet fishing villages and traditional harbours, including Datca, Bozburun, Selimiye and Orhaniye.

Many guests combine both gulfs in a one-way gulet charter from Bodrum to Marmaris, disembarking in Marmaris at the end of the week. If you would like a taste of Greece, Kos is just across the water, and a short island stop can be added to your plan, with your captain and broker taking care of the formalities. Not sure which route suits your group? Our gulet itinerary guide compares the most popular options.

The charter season runs roughly from May to October, with the warmest seas in July, August and September, while late spring and autumn are quieter and cooler. Before you sail, take time to visit Bodrum Castle and its Museum of Underwater Archaeology, right by the marina.
