Why Charter a Gulet from Gocek

Getting to Gocek & Boarding Logistics

The nearest airport is Dalaman Airport (DLM), about 25–35 minutes from the marinas depending on traffic, with direct flights from most major European cities in summer and year-round connections via Istanbul. Guests are met at arrivals by a private transfer arranged through the broker.

Boarding usually starts at around 4–5pm on embarkation day, once the crew has finished provisioning and the previous guests have left. Many captains spend the first evening in the marina or a nearby bay and set off properly the next morning.

How Much Does a Gulet Charter from Gocek Cost?

Weekly starting rates for our Gocek gulets range from around €12,000 for a 4-cabin gulet to €60,000 for VIP-class yachts. Your dates make a big difference: Gulet Dear Lila, a 6-cabin gulet for 12 guests, costs €14,000 a week in May and October, €19,500 in June and September and €23,000 in July and August.

Turkish gulet charters usually include fuel for three to four cruising hours a day, Turkish port taxes and the transit log. Can I sail from Gocek to the Greek islands on a private charter?

It is possible but needs planning. Turkish-flagged yachts must clear customs at a port of entry such as Fethiye before crossing, and check in again on the Greek side, most often at Rhodes or Symi. Greek port taxes and clearance fees are extra. Most one-week charters from Gocek stay in Turkish waters because of the distances and paperwork, but a two-week charter can include a crossing.

In peak August weeks, Kapı Creek and the main anchorages around the Twelve Islands can hold twenty or more boats by early evening. When that happens, we often send guests further east to the coves around Gemiler Island, also known as St Nicholas Island, where Byzantine church ruins rise above the water and the anchorages are usually quieter.
